Who am I?
“What’s in a name?” said Juliet to Romeo.
“EVERYTHING!” is the answer.
So, we’ll start with that. It’s Suzanne or Suze.
I'm at my happiest when ordering tasty platters in restaurants, riffing with kids in the classroom or vibing with my clients about their exciting ventures.
I've been writing website and sales copy for years.
From 2012 to 2021 I wrote the fundraising copy, annual reports and policy documents for the children's charity I founded.
And, there's nothing like 17 years of teaching English to teens to keep you on your creative toes. They're a tough crowd.
This year, I launched 'Just Wright' to satisfy my own needs: I'm a word nerd.
So now I’m a Melbourne-based freelance copywriter. Cool, hey!
I find joy in fixing other people's prose problems, particularly those of business owners, who, if their venture is successful, get to help more people (including animals who are furry people) and the planet (coz we need a home). I do exactly what it says in my tagline:
[I'm] Using words to help you do good in the world.
What qualifies me to do this?
A Ba Hons in English, a Masters in Education, I'm an Australian Writers' Centre graduate of Freelance Writing and Copywriting, a Hubspot graduate of SEO, a member of Bossy Copy College, and numerous other short writing courses.
I'm also editing my first novel - kinda irrelevant but it shows I can do big things!
